Silent Chat Shutdown

Dear Silent Members,

I made this choice after teachers contacted me and told me about some problems happening on the chat. Even though most people used Silent Chat normally, a few users were saying things that were rude, inappropriate, or unsafe. Because of this, teachers were worried, and they sent me messages about what was going on.

Silent Chat was never made for drama or trouble.

It was just supposed to be a simple place to talk, share ideas, and have fun. But when a few people start using it in the wrong way, it creates problems for everyone — including me. To keep things safe and to avoid any issues with the school, I decided to shut the chat down completely.

Right now, I don’t plan on bringing it back or updating it anymore. I want to make sure nobody gets in trouble because of the chat, and this felt like the best choice.

I also want to make one thing very clear:

Silent Chat never saved or collected any personal information.

It didn’t store names, emails, or anything private. The chat was always designed to be simple, safe, and private, but behavior from some users made it unsafe to keep running.

Thank you to everyone who used Silent Chat respectfully and followed the rules. I appreciate the people who tried to keep it positive.
For now, the chat is closed, and I hope you understand why I needed to shut it down.
